About the Smart Manufacturing Center
The Smart Manufacturing Center at El Camino College was established in June of 2024 to assist in the implementation of a Department of Energy (DOE) grant that will fund no-cost programs intended to incentivize small and medium-sized businesses to adopt Smart Manufacturing processes and technologies.
The mission of the Smart Manufacturing Center, its partners, and the SMLP grant is to provide small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMM) with education, training, and consulting services that will advance the adoption and implementation of Smart Manufacturing technologies.

“Our collective vision is to provide services to SMMs that will create production efficiencies, help establish environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes and increase the competitiveness of California’s manufacturing sector.”
