About the Smart Manufacturing Center

The Smart Manufacturing Center at El Camino College was established in June of 2024 to assist in the implementation of a Department of Energy (DOE) grant that will fund no-cost programs intended to incentivize small and medium-sized businesses to adopt Smart Manufacturing processes and technologies.  

The mission of the Smart Manufacturing Center, its partners, and the SMLP grant is to provide small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMM) with education, training, and consulting services that will advance the adoption and implementation of Smart Manufacturing technologies.

Mission and Vision

Provide training, education, consulting services and resources that improve productivity and increase the competitive position of California’s  manufactures. 

To be a trusted source for California’s manufactures. Our goal is to help make California a hub of manufacturing innovation. 

About the Grant

El Camino College has received a three-year grant from the Department of Energy (DOE) to incentivize California’s small and medium sized manufacturers (SMMs) to adopt Smart Manufacturing processes and technologies.
